Field Note · Migration Issue N° 04

Why your CRM migration stalls after the move.

Migrations almost never fail on the day of the move. They fail after the team realises the history they cared about didn't come with them and quietly goes back to the spreadsheet. The cause is rarely the software. It's what we decided history was worth before we started.

A row of five seats: two lit and occupied, three turned off and empty.
FinOps 04.18

The quiet cost of unused HubSpot seats.

Most teams pay for more seats than they use. The overage is invisible on a statement — it only shows up as logic you inherit when you finally reconcile who actually logs in.

Process 04.03

Map the process reps actually follow.

Model what people already do, not the elegant version management wants to see. The straight line is drawn from observation, not from a diagram someone approved in a meeting.

Case Studies · Framework Publish policy

Nothing here is claimed yet. We publish a case only with client consent and only from what engagement records actually show. Until then this is the reusable template we fill in — no client names, no figures, no testimonials, no dates. The story is written the same way every time:

Step 01

Problem

What the client faced, in the operator's own words and from the systems at hand.

to be filled
Step 02

Intervention

What we actually did — the decisions, the cutover, the handover.

to be filled
Step 03

Evidence

What changed that we can point to in the records — stated only where it holds.

to be filled
Step 04

Operating change

How the team works differently now, and what they'd tell the next client.
